Software as a Service (SaaS)


Software as a Service (SaaS) is a common distribution model in which a company hosts an application and makes it available to customers over the internet, instead of installing and maintaining software. SaaS models run on the providers' servers and the provider will manage access, availability, and security of the software. SaaS applications are also referred to as on-demand software, web-based software, or hosted software.
