A Day in the Life of a Consumer Loan Officer
As a consumer loan officer, your first priority is to provide excellent customer service to our members. You explain the ins and outs of consumer loans to prospective borrowers. You see our members as more than “credit scores.” and coach them through the process of improving their credit worthiness. You nurture lifelong relationships with borrowers and future borrowers alike.
You review incoming consumer loan applications for accuracy and completeness. You analyze data, research and investigate credit histories thoroughly, collect documentation, and prepare loan documents. You are involved in local decisions to approve or deny loan applications. You make sure that borrowers understand their loans thoroughly.
You also network within the community to promote [Insert name of credit union here’s services and generate new sales opportunities.
