OI Infusion Services is a fast growing startup making an immediate impact in the growing and quickly changing specialty infusion market. Our mission is to transform the infusion experience helping all stakeholders in the process by 1) growing the practices of our provider partners, 2) saving patients out of pocket costs while increasing access to convenient and high quality infusion therapy services, and 3) reducing costs for payors and the healthcare system as a whole.

We are looking for a Financial Assistance Specialist to join our growing team in Houston TX. You will play an important role in will be responsible for maintaining effective communication between patients, financial assistance programs, practices, and other departments as needed. Collections from programs, submit claims with EOB's.

Primary duties include the following:

  • Researching and securing available financial assistance programs to reduce infusion therapy cost and ensuing patients understand their medical insurance benefits and financial responsibility.
  • Ensuring the best customer service by phone, email and in person.
  • Processing all payment balances and submit for payment under pharmaceutical or charitable programs.
  • Maintaining a high level of satisfaction by providing appropriate level of competency and professionalism for timely, effective, and accurate resolutions.
  • Maintaining self-directed knowledge of each financial assistance program's current qualifying guidelines and criteria to translate and secure financial assistance for patients.
  • Ability to thoroughly explain medical insurance benefits to patients as it relates to their estimated financial responsibility for infusion therapy services.


  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years experience (Patient/ customer service experience)
  • HIPAA compliance experience preferred
  • Must have ability to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities; proactive and takes initiative; strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Independent worker, ability to set and meet timelines/deadlines and goals
  • Effective business communication skills; both verbally and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit
  • Must be able and available to work between 7:00am to 6:00 pm CST, either remotely or at the Houston Office upon request
