Full-time, 72 hours per pay period - Night shift; three 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday & Sunday Weekend differentials available
Full-time, 72 hours pay period - Night shift; three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm-7:00am) Night shift differentials available
- Weekend rotation: Minimum of every third weekend Weekend shift differentials available
- Holiday rotation: Every other holiday

Position Summary:

Plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in the Emergency Department on a particular shift, in accordance with established philosophy.

Position Responsibilities:

Work to promote and maintain a healthy work environment dynamic
Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
Initiates and implements patient care plan.
Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of non-RN employees.
Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of the team.
Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.
Provides assistance to team by participating in daily department preparedness.
Participates in planning changes and improvements.
Participates in hospital safety programs.
Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures.
Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.
Keeps Charge RN informed of patients, needs, and problems on the nursing unit.
Participates in orientation and in-service training for team personnel.
Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.
Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality.
Observes and supports hospital policies.
Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
Other duties as requested within scope of practice

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Graduate of an accredited program in nursing
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of WI

Required Skills:

BLS within 1 month of hire
ACLS & PALs within 1 year of hire
TNCC or ATCN within 3 years of hire
ENPC preferred
