Wulco Inc. was established in 1990 to unite Jet Machine and Manufacturing and Rocket Supply. They have since acquired Cima Packaging and NextGen Armor for a total of four divisions. Wulco is currently seeking machine operators within their Jet Machine and Manufacturing division. Jet Machine specializes in close tolerance machining in the military defense and oil and gas industries. Our temperature controlled, CNC machine shop is comprised of Mazaks. A qualified candidate is mechanically inclined, literate in basic alegebra and geometry, reliable, and willing to learn. Ideally, the candidate will have previous machine shop experience, but is not required.
Under general supervision, the Machine Operator has the ability to operate various machines and work centers in Manufacturing. Maintains production runs and visually inspects parts to ensure quality and consistency, performs preventative maintenance on assigned machines and performs secondary operations on parts as assigned
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Machine Operator works in the Machining Department and is responsible for general CNC machining of metal parts. Responsibilities and job duties include:
- Operating various milling and turning machinery and equipment, as assigned, to manufacture parts to required specifications
- Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy to the required specifications and completing assigned inspection and job traveler paperwork
- Ensuring finished parts move to the next operation upon completion
- Informing Machining Lead of any problems or improvements of the manufacturing process
- General workmanship including deburring and cleaning finished parts
- Maintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipment
- Other tasks as assigned
III. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School education or equivalent
- Basic math skills and basic blue print reading
- Basic understanding of machine program and ability to make tool offsets
- Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety
- Must be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
- Possession of personal basic hand tools is preferred
