Viterbo University is seeking applications for the Founding Director and Associate/Full Professor of the Speech-Language Pathology Program in the College of Nursing and Health. This is a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position. The founding director will be actively involved in the development of a communication disorders undergraduate major and a master of science in speech-language pathology including curriculum design, faculty recruitment and development, teaching, scholarship, accreditation with the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (CAA) and approval with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (WI-DPI). The director will cultivate partnerships with speech-language pathologists and community-based organizations for clinical placements in the La Crosse, WI area.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an EdD or a PhD in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Sciences, Communication Science Disorders or related field, eligibility for Wisconsin Licensure, post-secondary teaching experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience.
Rank and Salary: Appointment is at the rank of Associate Professor or higher dependent on experience/qualifications with a 12-month appointment beginning fall 2021 or spring/fall 2022. Salary is competitive with other private institutions of similar size, mission, and educational philosophy.
