Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinic Director

St. Edward's University invites applications for appointment as a full-time, non-tenure track to begin August 2022 (earlier might be possible).
This position will serve as a 50%-75% community training clinic director, with responsibility to teach 1-2 group supervision or content courses per semester. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring compliance to professional and state legal and ethical standards pertinent to a mental health facility and training clinic
- Clinical supervision of interns, as needed
- Supervision of clinic staff and interns
- Engaging in marketing and client recruitment
- Manage daily clinic operation including responding to inquiries from the community and prospective clients, maintaining software, and ensuring client safety through regular quality of care assurance file audits (progress note review and approval, treatment plan review, development of policy and procedures, and other documentation needs)
- Teaching graduate counseling courses
Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. Licensed in Texas as a LPC or LMFT, or license eligible University teaching and supervision experience in counseling with excellent references required. Candidates with a strong commitment to enhancing diversity in academia, fostering the university's global initiative, and supporting strategic priorities must be reflected in application materials. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check is required.
Preference for LPC-S and/or LMFT-S Texas license. Candidates should have taught counseling coursework and supervised interns. Preference will be given to candidates who have a doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program. Candidates with the demonstrated ability to serve as clinic director will be highly considered.
Rank and Salary
This is a non-tenure track position at the assistant level; salary commensurate with level.
