We recruit top talent and are currently seeking field-based Survey Technician/Instrument Operator/Rodman applicants to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The selected candidates will join a successful, busy team of engineers, environmental professionals, geologists and planners in support of public and private sector projects throughout Florida and surrounding states. Starting pay for this position is between $20 - 27/hr.



Your responsibility will be to manage the field phases of projects assigned to you, to include:

  • Boundary, Topographic, Bathymetric and Control surveys;
  • ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Construction layout, Environmental Mapping;
  • Manage project team relationships and communication regarding project expectations, schedule, and budget;
  • Perform and/or provide oversite of field functions including computations, reduction of field notes, filing and initial CAD field to finish;
  • Able to work in a team environment or independently;
  • Conduct proper research to aid in collection of field data;
  • Perform QA/QC on work completed in the field;
  • Follow prescribed safety practices for geomatic field operations.



Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years' of progressive experience required;
  • Florida residency required;
  • Proficiency with GPS, Robotic Total Station and Data Collection equipment required;
  • AutoCAD and/or Carlson experience preferred;
  • Trimble hardware and software experience preferred;
  • Ability to work extended hours including Saturdays and ability to travel out of town for extended periods of time.



These are full-time positions with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
