Position: Environmental Project Professional

We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time, experienced, Environmental Project Professional to support our environmental service line and staff in our Knoxville, Tennessee office.

Candidates should have experience preparing Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments, scoping of Phase 2 site assessments and extensive field experience. Candidates should have experience with delineation and remediation of various contaminants in soil, groundwater, and soil gas on commercial and/or industrial project sites. The individual will perform field and office work associated with environmental evaluations. Field work will include the oversight of soil boring installation and monitoring well installation, identification of the soils encountered, determination of well construction, soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling for chemical analysis, and other testing and sampling as may be required. Office tasks will include the preparation of data tables, graphical presentation of data, comparison of soil and groundwater data to State and Federal regulatory standards, and report preparation. Candidates should have prior experience in environmental due diligence site assessments, a working knowledge of State and Federal regulations, and interacting with regulatory agency representatives. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training required. Candidates should have strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Experience with proposal preparation and business development preferred.

Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering, geology or environmental related science;
  • 4-8 years of experience conducting and managing environmental projects;
  • Experience interacting with regulatory representatives;
  • Professional registration in Tennessee; or ability to obtain in 1 year;
  • Strong business development/interpersonal skills;
  • Willing and able to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions;
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, staff, and regulatory personnel.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
