Position: Prestress/Precast Inspection Technician (Relocate to Chesapeake)

We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time, Prestress/Precast Inspection Technician in the Chesapeake, Virginia area.
The Technician will be working in a large precast/prestress yard that will be making prestress components for bridges. The individual will assist in performing Quality Assurance oversight for a State Transportation Agency in the supplier's precast/prestress yard. Individual responsibilities will include plan review, stressing calculations, field oversight, concrete field sampling and testing, documentation and computer data entry. The individual will be responsible for measuring conformance with State DOT Standard Specifications, material requirements, Standard Drawings and project drawings/ details.
- High School diploma/GED plus 3 years related experience, or associate degree in related discipline plus 1 year related experience; or bachelor's degree plus 6 months related experience in quality assurance inspection and concrete testing required;
- Current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 certification required;
- Current PCI Level 1 and 2 required;
- Lifting required 40 to 50 lbs;
- Math, computer and writing skills required.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience.
