Title: AV/VTC Technician

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA

Clearance: TS/SCI


  • Responsible for daily management of site VTC and Conference Room systems such as scheduling VTC with external sites; problem resolution and configuring rooms to meet requirements for scheduled conferences
  • Perform troubleshooting of VTC and conference room equipment
  • Execute repair or initiates trouble tickets to the appropriate office for support of components and connections external to the site VTC system
  • Perform routine performance testing to ensure VTC and other conference room equipment, computer servers, and workstations operate at optimal performance and capacity
  • Resolve system operational problems by troubleshooting, performing fault isolation, and schedule VTC sessions
  • Maintain a call schedule and coordinate reservations and scheduling of VTC services with outside agencies for executive level users
  • Perform setups, tests, adjustments, operations, and shutdowns of equipment in support of VTC sessions
  • Provide client consulting and training on control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment
  • Act as an equipment custodian and perform inventory asset management and accountability functions
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for VTC operations
  • Troubleshoot systems failures and accessibility problems
  • Monitor system performance and tracks usage
  • Provide on-site support primarily during standard business hours and/or contractually mandated core hours 8 AM- 4:30 PM hours (flexible); Monday - Friday
  • Providing occasional support outside of core hours or on weekends as requested


  • High School Diploma and 4+ years directly related experience in audio video support
  • Working knowledge and experience configuring Tandberg/Cisco Codecs
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift light to moderate equipment
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, or the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
  • As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a background investigation including criminal history and reference checks

Desired Experience/Skill Set:

  • Understanding of basic networking
  • 8570 IAT Level II Compliance - certified within the first 6 months of hire
