Job Summary

SITEC provides support services as required for continuous operation of the Software Support Activity Software Production Facilities including complete lifecycle services for our customers platforms.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various programs supporting aircraft and weapons systems. 
  • Perform the following activities as part of software development: system resource evaluation; software requirements evaluation; design evaluation; software definition, code, and unit test; integration test; software delivery and independent test; software quality assurance; and software configuration monitoring. 
  • Conduct reviews of Contract Data Requirements List products. 
  • Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews evaluating work products to Government standards. Participate in all software life-cycle reviews from requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, integration, and test. 
  • Review and comment on proposed system requirements, based on Government provided information. Verify the system requirements meet the stated program objectives. Support program reviews and periodic program status meetings. 
  • Support the Engineering Change Process. 
  • Support Statement of Work development. 
  • Support technical evaluations of Request for Proposal. 
  • Make recommendations regarding human systems engineering. 
  • Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207 is preferred. 
  • The successful candidate should possess strong communication, (written/oral), and presentation skills as well as strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.


Basic Qualifications
  • SECRET level clearance required.
  • Some travel may be required.


Education Requirements
  • BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline. 
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in Software/Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems, consisting of the design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware and software.

Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, or systems safety & reliability is desired.
