A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERVICE TECHNICIAN
As a property Service Technician, you maintain the property in an attractive, safe, and quality condition. You work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor in the operations of the maintenance department including assisting in maintaining inventories of supplies, tools and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs. You inspect and maintain the property, buildings, and equipment in an attractive, clean, and safe condition at all times in accordance with company policies and procedures. You assist in organizing, prioritizing, and completing unit make-readies, service requests and general maintenance tasks according to company standards in a timely manner. Your maintenance responsibilities include replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors, repairing or replacing plumbing and fixtures, replacing broken windowpanes and screens, replacing and rekeying locks, repairing and replacing appliance parts, repair of walls, woodwork and doors, painting, groundskeeping, and trash removal. Safety is your priority. As such you report safety hazards the maintenance supervisor and correct them on a timely basis. You take pride in the great condition and attractive appearance of the grounds, buildings, and units.
SERVICE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintenance experience in property management
- HVAC and EPA Certification
- Ability to be available "on-call" 24 hours, seven days per week
- Valid driver's license
