Our Danner Factory is looking for a motivated individual to join our Production team! We are seeking someone who is interested in bringing their prior manufacturing skills, but willing to grow those skills within our factory. Our boot factory currently operates on 2 shifts and this support role will be for our 2nd shift team. The hours for 2nd shift are 3:30pm-12:00am, with occasional overtime during the week and Saturdays.

To coordinate and assist with daily manufacturing operations at the Danner facility. Ensures safe, efficient production to meet customer requirements, quality standards, and production consistent with Company objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):

  • Safety: Promotes a safe working environment. Educates employees and assists in implementing procedures to reduce the occurrence of work-related injuries. Promotes education, job rotation, and exercise as appropriate for reducing such injuries.
  • Production: Oversees timely and efficient production of quality footwear. Meets or exceeds production numbers on a consistent basis. Monitors production output and processes. Assists with research to develops methods for the implementation of ways to increase productivity, and reduce non-value-added processes.
  • Coordinate and Morale: Assist supervisor to work with all Production and leadership on the floor. Train and coach floor leadership and employees, assist with managing performance, personnel conflicts
  • Training and Continuous Improvement: Lead and motivate employees to maintain and continuously improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost of factory operations.
  • Problem Solving: Assists with managing the production flow, which involves reassigning priorities and redistributing resources to help maintain a positive efficiency level. Closely monitor product and raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Communications: Consults and collaborates with colleagues to maintain effective and efficient production operations (ie: with Scheduling to determine production requirements; with Product Development to implement the manufacturing of new products or product changes; with Human Resources on personnel issues).

  • PC Familiarity
  • Bi-lingual ability a plus

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles preferred

The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to high. Due to the nature of the factory environment, temperature fluctuation can be moderate in cold or hot weather. Physical ability to maneuver on production floor to include standing, talking, hearing feeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, standing, and sitting.

REPORTING: This position reports directly to: Sr. Production Manager
