Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated React.js front-end developer with both web and mobile application experience to join GHG Corporation. You will work as part of a team to design and develop high-quality software solutions for web applications and mobile apps using React and other technologies.
As a React.js and mobile app developer, you will implement new features and maintain existing code using React and other standard tools in the React ecosystem, such as Node.js and Yarn. Your duties will include designing software solutions to meet project requirements, maintaining and refactoring existing code, writing tests, and fixing bugs.
Responsibilities
3+ years of demonstrable experience
Maintain existing React systems, including fixing bugs
Design and develop new custom components to meet project requirements
Install and configure server environments for React deployments
Maintain and update project dependencies as well as fix any conflicts
Working with other JavaScript developers and software engineers to develop front-end and back-end architecture that's well-structured and flexible, along with the APIs to support it.
Identify and plan for new features
Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
Suggest and implement new mobile products, applications and protocols
Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile apps
Work closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and design
Use and adapt existing web applications for apps
Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
Communicate with users to understand their needs and experiences
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, engineering, or a related technical field (or relevant experience)
Proficient with the latest versions of ECMAScript (JavaScript) as well as HTML and CSS
Familiarity with Ext.js, Angular, Backbone a plus
Knowledge of React and common tools used in the wider React ecosystem, such as Node.js and npm
Familiarity with common programming tools such as Redux, IDEs, RESTful APIs, Git repositories, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools
An understanding of common programming paradigms and fundamental React principles, such as React components, hooks, and the React lifecycle
Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and Java
Familiarity with OOP design principles
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
Ability to perform in a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interpret and follow technical plans
Working environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical requirements
Individual must be capable of operating a standard desktop computer; must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. US citizenship or permanent residence is required.

Position Expectations
- This is a full-time position
- Hours of work are Monday through Friday flexible between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with some weekends and additional hours as needed
- 0 - 5% travel expected for this position
- Flexibility with both remote and on-site presence
