We are seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic Head Start Program at our vibrant Blackfoot Location. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive, safe, and enriched learning environment for children, parents, volunteers, and our amazing team members.

At our program, we believe in providing a high-quality educational experience that focuses on social-emotional development, cognitive growth, and school readiness. We embrace a respectful, sensitive, and proactive approach to each child and their family, and we use multicultural and anti-bias materials to ensure a diverse and inclusive classroom.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Lead Teacher in promoting social competence, fostering emotional health, enhancing physical growth, and boosting cognitive skills in each child. With a special emphasis on literacy and numeracy, you will help prepare our little learners to take on the world with confidence.

What We're Looking For:

  • A high school diploma or Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • The ability to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with EICAP's guidance within 12 months of hire (don't worry, we'll cover the cost!)
  • Preferably an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a team of passionate teachers and support staff
  • While preferred, no prior experience is required - we're willing to train the right individual
  • Must pass a Health and Welfare Enhanced Background Check
  • Physical exam and Tuberculosis (TB) screen required
  • The opportunity to become CPR and First Aid certified through EICAP's training program
