Description: Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.

ECI has an immediate opening for a Protection Engineer with NERC Compliance experience. This is a unique opportunity for a candidate to apply their existing knowledge of Power System Protection and to support ECI's internal stakeholders regarding NERC compliance of their projects as well as the NERC compliance needs of external clients. The successful candidate will be working under the guidance of the ECI NERC Subject Matter Expert to support any transmission, substation, and generation protection projects. This includes answering technical questions and writing bid proposals/estimates. Focus will be PRCs and FAC-008 but may include others.

ECI is looking for a candidate who is interested in working in any of the office locations listed above. A remote/hybrid work option would be considered for applicants that have extensive experience in the field of substation and power plant system protection with NERC compliance.

Minimum Requirements: BSEE or MSEE required; 4+ years direct experience in the field of substation and power plant System Protection with NERC PRC compliance experience; P.E. preferred; excellent verbal/written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
