Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca is seeking Substitute Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Classroom Aides for our Early Childhood Program.
Teacher Substitutes provide high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents as well as classroom leadership. Candidates must meeting the following minimum requirements- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education with at least 2 years of teaching experience required. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Experience working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities preferred. Work is scheduled on an as-needed basis. The pay rate is $17.85/hr.
Assistant Teacher Substitutes help in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aid in classroom leadership. Candidates must meet the minimum requirements - have a CDA credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential or, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire. Experience working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities preferred. Work is scheduled on an as-needed basis. The pay rate is $16.51/hr.
Classroom Aide Substitutes assists in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aids in classroom leadership on an as-needed basis. Must have a high school diploma/GED. Must have reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license. Must be fully vaccinated per Federal Head Start Performance Standards. This is an on-call, as needed position. The pay rate is $14.68/hr.
