Responsible for building, testing and calibrating custom valve and actuator assemblies from start to finish. Heavy troubleshooting skills necessary throughout the assembly process.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Build, test and calibrate custom valve and actuator assemblies from start to finish

Identify and remanufacture select valve parts. Reject parts/ask for parts to be reworked if they do not meet tolerance specifications

Troubleshoot throughout the assembly, testing and calibrating process.

Must be able to work from specifications and drawings
-
Utilize instruction manuals for detailed assembly instructions.

Significant over site when assembling valves

Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-
1 - 2 years Assembly experience (Valve Assembly preferred)
-
High School degree and applicable experience is acceptable
-
2 year Technical Degree preferred

Very mechanically inclined, especially spatially
-
Able to read and interpret technical literature and drawings
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Works closely with the valve supervisor

Works closely with team members in the Valve Shop
-
Interacts with other departments as directed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Able to properly lift up to 60 lbs and stand and move about

Must be able to work in the heat. Shop does not have AC
-
Regular scheduled shift is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday

Overtime occasionally required
