The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the shipping and receiving tasks and ensuring that transactions are processed accurately and timely in Oracle. Assist with all material control functions as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor production data to ensure the accurate recording of inventory transactions.
Review purchase orders to ensure the accurate addition of inventory items.
Assist in the establishment of reorder points, stocking levels.
Prepare requisitions for consumable materials (packaging, fasteners, etc.)
Coordinate and conduct cycle counts.
Ship accessory, repair part orders (UPS orders).
Assist in housekeeping for inventoried materials.
Check PO counts on dental jobs against packing list and bill of lading to insure all items are properly identified and loaded correctly.
Perform other material control duties necessary to support the efficient and effective performance of the Manufacturing Department.
Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment.
Prompt regular attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Education and/or Experience:
Three (3) years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in shipping and/or receiving.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Good communication skill, both written and oral.
Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows-based applications.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system a plus.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Person must be resourceful and a self-starter.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must have experience systematizing process flows for improved efficiency.
Must be conscientious and detail minded.
Must be able to work in fast paced, quick changing atmosphere.
Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Reads written information and requires the ability to understand conceptual material.
Must be able to count and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
