Here at Youngstown-Phoenix, we are dedicated to producing custom designed aluminum extrusion dies that meet the strictest quality standards. We are currently seeking to add to our rapidly growing workforce with a self-motivated individuals who have a passion to learn new skillsets and be a part of a team.
As a Finishing Inspector, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Use of basic gauges.
- Use of sandblaster and honer.
- Cutting relief and polishing all types of dies (hollows and solids).
- Feeding in complex multicores.
- Inspection of work.
- Knowledge of shipping.
- Ability to train and assist with finish in all areas.
- Perform final inspection, prep and finish side work.
Qualifications: Individuals must have experience working with measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers. In addition, the ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have a working knowledge of GD&T. In addition, candidate must be able to follow training & safety measures effectively.
Required: High School diploma or GED with 2 years' of manufacturing and/or finishing inspection. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure. Must be able to read & interpret blueprints, procedure manuals & product specifications. Must be computer literate with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to work overtime.
Typical work week is 40-50 hours. Overtime is paid after 40 hours. Position is afternoon turn.
