X-Bow Systems is expanding and is looking to fill a new position, Senior Mechanical Engineer. This role can be done remotely with monthly travel to one of our sites in Albuquerque, NM, Huntsville, AL, Luling, TX, Utah, or Maryland.

As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have a key role in supporting our motor programs. You will connect frequently with leads across our motor teams to work together and ensure quality work through requirement, design, analysis, test, and documentation processes and evaluations. You'll know you're successful in this role when you've identified blockers, guided process to address anomalies, verified design requirements are satisfied and you've delivered on the agreed upon master schedule. To thrive in this role you must have served as responsible engineer for design, analysis, and test of similar large scale projects such as liquid rocket tanks/stages, aircraft structures, and/or ground transportation assemblies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Design/Analysis/Manufacture and Test of Solid Rocket Motors or Liquid Propellant Launch Vehicles
• Experience leading multidiscipline teams of ~5 engineers
• Analysis skills from notebook level to advanced simulation
• Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
