As a Field Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing operational support in the evenings (Monday-Friday and extra hours occasionally available on Saturdays), fielding potential candidates through various job postings, conducting service audits, working interviews/onsite training and shadow training with our current WSI Service Technicians to assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
You will work in collaboration with our administrative team to ensure client satisfaction for service provided nightly. This position is part-time and requires 20-25 hours per week with some opportunities for additional hours as needed. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized and a self-starter.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Field Specialists to ensure all shifts for resident doorstep trash and recycle valet pick-ups are fulfilled. In the event no substitutions are available, responsible for working with the team to cover shifts.
Audit and train onsite at properties regularly to assess resident and WSI Service Technician compliance and to assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Makes decisions in consideration of property management, residents, and staff.
Uses critical thinking skills to forecast and resolve any customer service issues, problems or emergencies identified onsite during service.
Effectively plan, organize, and manage time.
Daily Requirements
Report all safety and compliance incidents in a timely manner.
Acts in accordance with company quality standards.
Compiles service audits and training results for Area Support Managers.
Updates SOP protocols obtained from shadow training Service Technicians and submits these drafts to Area Support Managers for completion.
Operational Support
Assist with new community setups including trash and recycling bin distribution, flyer delivery and SOP development.
Drive to our Small Materials Recovery Facility when needed for supplies (Personal Protective Equipment, containers/recycle liners/etc).
Drive to properties within the area up to 90% of the workday. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and must be willing to be subject to a criminal background check. (Each background check is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Prior charges or convictions doesn't necessarily disqualify.)
A valid Driver's License and ability to operate a motor vehicle in Utah is required. (Valid documentation included but not limited to Auto Liability Insurance and Driver's license must be maintained.)
Must be able to physically lift and transport up to 50 lbs. to work in indoor and outdoor environments during various weather conditions.
Prior customer service or team experience is preferred.
Must be able to ascend or descend stairs and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and written.
Ability to collaborate within an environment that requires evolving work demands and processes.
Proficient or demonstrates ability to learn how to use MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
Understanding of basic customer service principles.
Ability to manage stress and de-escalate customer service issues.
Must be conscientious, reliable, and exhibit a friendly and helpful attitude towards property management, staff and residents.
