For more than 75 years, Via Services' mission has been to empower people with disabilities and their families to grow, develop and thrive by providing essential skill-building, therapeutic and recreational programs.

We are seeking Early Interventionists, Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Therapists to lead intake assessments as part of our SARC partnership.

Assessments are currently be performed remotely. Ability to pick up/drop off case files at our office in Santa Clara is required.

Scope of Work (Contract position)

It is understood that the Contractor will maintain all required state licensure, malpractice insurance, and certification for the practice of Early Intervention in the State of California


The Contractor will provide Early Intervention to serve individual clients of Via as needed and at the direction of Via (within Santa Clara County).

The Contractor shall conduct specialized developmental assessments on an individual basis (as needed basis, determined by Via) in conjunction with a Via team member. Via's SARC Intake Assessment Program evaluations will take place at assigned clinic facility, family home, daycare centers and other miscellaneous locations as specified by Via.

The Contractor shall maintain clinical records in adherence with clinical procedures including, but not limited to, evaluation protocols and mandated reports.

It is understood that the Contractor may not bill the patient or health insurance program for the covered services, since pursuant to section 1861 (w) of the Act (42 U.S.C. 1395 x 9w), covered services furnished under arrangements must be billed through the provider (Via) exclusively and receipt of payment by the provider (Via) for such services on behalf of an entitled individual discharges the liability of such individual or other person to pay for such services.

It is understood that the Contractor is not a vendor with San Andreas Regional Center or working under another agency/business as a sub-contractor within Early Start services during the duration of this contract.

Professional credentials

  • MA/MS in Early Intervention, Speech-language Therapy, Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
  • Applicable professional certification (CCC-ASHA / NBCOT)
  • California state professional license in good standing

Other requirements

  • Must have reliable motor vehicle transportation, job related mileage is reimbursed
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Proof of continuous automobile insurance coverage as required by the State of California
  • Ability to obtain criminal fingerprint clearance
  • Proof of negative TB results
  • Professional Liability/Malpractice insurance (minimum coverage of $1,000,000.00 aggregate)
  • At least 18 years of age
