A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIELD SERVICE MECHANIC
As a Field Service Mechanic, you fix the equipment that our line crews are using so our projects move forward and our company continues to thrive. Applying your exceptional troubleshooting skills, you repair both on- and off-road heavy-duty trucks, aerial work platforms and construction equipment, including the welding and machining of chassis and structural components. Proactively, you perform preventative maintenance and engine diagnostics. You do inspections as well as participate in DOT inspections.
While your technical skills are essential, your good interpersonal and communication skills are also incredibly important. You work hard to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the general foreman to keep projects going and on-schedule. With attention to detail, you keep service records and other paperwork up to date and accurate as well as maintain the inventory control of parts. You enjoy working with a dynamic team and get great satisfaction out of keeping us up and running!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD SERVICE MECHANIC
- Ability to do hydraulic and electronic repair
- CDL class A driver's license desired but not required
- Good driving record
- Computer skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
