GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Develops and implements comprehensive and measurable shareholder programs in line with the overall goals and priorities of TNC. Execute shareholder services effectively. Point of contact for all TNC shareholders regarding shareholder records, information, and events. Will assist shareholders in person, by phone and through written correspondence.

DUTIES

  • Manage accurate electronic and central files for Shareholder Records
  • Recognize and respect the confidential nature of information contained in shareholder records, and divulge confidential information only to the CEO and staff as deemed necessary
  • Works with outside entities to fulfill the goals within the TNC Distribution Trust programs in accordance with the Amended and Restated TNC Distribution Trust Agreement
  • Outreach and engagement with shareholders regarding new shareholder enrollment, estate and probate matters, stock transfers, shareholder events, shareholder benefit programs, and education & job opportunities
  • Responsible for obtaining information of a positive nature concerning shareholders for inclusion in shareholder newsletters, website, portal, meetings, etc., to support the positive reinforcement and recognition of shareholders and achievements
  • Development, management and/or support of all shareholder communication including shareholder newsletters, correspondence, education and job notices, social media, shareholder surveys, and the shareholder website
  • Participates in planning and execution of shareholder annual meetings, shareholder picnics, and TNC shareholder information meetings
  • Represents the Shareholder Relations department at all events. Includes assistance in material development for events
  • Works closely with Tyonek HR, Tebughna Foundation, NVT, and outside entities for education and job developmental programs that advance shareholder skills
  • Works with TNC and outside entities to continuously improve the scope and effectiveness of shareholder employment
  • Manages all aspects of electronic shareholder management tools
  • Reviews, writes, updates, and maintains all shareholder related policies and procedures and operations controls.
  • Reports to and participates in TNC Committee, Board of Directors, and TNC Distribution Trust meetings as requested.
  • Track and report status of all activities
  • Develop and monitor annual Shareholder Relations and Community Support budgets
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and organization in daily tasks by meeting assigned deadlines
  • Operate in a strict climate of confidentiality and discretion
  • Compose and edit correspondence and reports using knowledge of general business formats, proper grammar, spelling, vocabulary and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Respond to shareholder needs and concerns with efficiency, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support as directed (such duties are not limited to general office duties and may include special projects as approved)
  • Some travel is required
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a shareholder or descendant of Tyonek Native Corporation
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 3 year's relevant work experience to include administrative, recruitment and/or workforce development. Equivalent education, training, or similar experience may be substituted for relevant experience
  • Good skill levels with Microsoft products and other software programs as needed
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) and ability to adhere to Alaska statutes related to stock management, shareholder records and inheritance, and Alaska Personal Information Protection Act requirements
  • Sound knowledge of State of Alaska intestacy laws
  • Have a good understanding of subject areas typically raised by shareholders
  • Have the ability to apply for qualification as an Alaska Notary Public, or such other certifications or qualifications as may enhance completion of job duties
  • Valid Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
