GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager will be responsible for estimating and managing projects. This individual will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project. The Project Manager will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope of budget.

DUTIES

  • Collect and analyze data to estimate time, materials, and labor required.
  • Must be able to read and understand project specifications and project drawings to implement a suitable means and methods for a successful project.
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
  • Prepare submittals, procurement, and schedule inspections, as necessary.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Participate with project team in planning and execution of work plan, and submittal procedures related to the project.
  • Maintain positive relationship with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees.
  • Able analyze risks to minimize company exposure and performance risk.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Prepare field reports, procurement tracking, and other project related documents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 10 years of experience in estimating and project management.
  • Experience in coordinating with other trades.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools necessary to accomplish assigned work.
  • Knowledge of computer, mathematical, technical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Be available to work a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must be able to obtain access to federal installations.
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
