Trigo Global Quality Solutions is looking for Extrusion Press Support Operators. This position is a contract job lasting around 3 to 6months or more with temp to hire opportunities.
POSITION SUMMARY :This position is responsible for efficiently operating automated cutting and hole
punching equipment in order to modify aluminum parts based on the specific order. This position is also
responsible for using a variety of inspection tools to ensure that the parts produced meet the required
quality specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following description of work to be performed by this
individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be
accomplished.
• Exhibit active leadership in order to model and support the company's vision, culture and strategies
• Provide and promote a safe work environment throughout the entire facility by following all safety
programs and policies
• Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer
quality requirements
• Strenuous or repetitive jobs must rotate at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent the risk of injury
REPETITIVE: a motion that occurs every few seconds with little or no variation
OSHA emphasizes that job rotation should be used as a preventative measure to prevent physical
fatigue and injury
• Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders:
Review manufacturing orders in order to verify internal and external customer specifications
Ensure all quality practices are being followed
Set up and run equipment in order to make modifications to aluminum parts
Inspect the parts as required to ensure the parts meet customer quality specifications
Ensure proper deburring, in order to guarantee that no burrs or sharp edges are on any parts
Inspect the parts to ensure that no nylon residue is left on the parts after running through the
equipment
Package orders based on customer specifications
Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction
• Monitor and make correct process changes for packing the product or changing rates
• Perform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well maintained condition
• Document process information using set-up sheets and/or manufacturing orders
• Provide suggestions and continuous improvements ideas to help better processes and procedures
• Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)
• Continually support and improve the department's key measures OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered
essential to the job)
• Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and
cooperative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent degree
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and experience
required. 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred 3. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to recognize safety concerns
Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
A highly motivated self-starter
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable of deburring methods
Basic math skills
Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product
Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts according to customer specifications
Ability to properly use appropriate measuring tools
