Location: South Louisiana


Case Managers are responsible for reviewing applications for quality, comprehensiveness, documenting, and communicating with applicants as needed within the functional area. They will maintain a complete understanding of all applicable policies, requirements, procedures and review all cases established program guidelines.

Case Managers may also provide support project managers, which may include monitoring, reporting, specialized advisory services and applicant consultation services, as applicable. In addition, Case Managers will provide potential applicants with program information, help with completing program applications and any other duties as assigned.

Candidates must be ethical, analytical, detail oriented, with good written and interpersonal communication skills. As with all state and federal programs, strict compliance to program policy is required.


  • Individual shall possess 2 years' experience as a member of a state or federal recovery operation, or equivalent experience commensurate with the ability to perform the necessary duties.
  • This individual shall demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the operational and regulatory aspects of the FEMA Individual Assistance.
  • Basic knowledge of the FEMA Disaster Case Management Program is desirable.
  • Provide assistance to the applicant throughout the application process.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours.
