A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FRY COOK / SALAD CHEF
As a Fry Cook / Salad Chef, you help create delicious meals for our hungry guests. Collaborating with our executive chef and other cooks, you assemble and prepare ingredients for menu items. You know your way around the kitchen, and you skillfully read and follow standardized recipes. Guests especially love the fresh salads you create!
Our kitchen runs more smoothly when you're on the clock. You take accountability for maintaining optimal food inventory and rotating stock items as needed. Safety-oriented, you ensure food is stored at the appropriate temperature and that the prep area is sanitary. As a helpful team player, you restock the kitchen for subsequent shifts and make sure it's clean and organized for the next crew. You love working in the culinary field, and you feel great knowing that our guests enjoy your food!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FRY COOK / SALAD CHEF
- 2+ years of cooking experience in the restaurant industry
- Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
ServSafe Certification is preferred. Are you able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere? Can you take direction well? Are you able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks? If yes, you might just be perfect for this food service position!
