Position Description Summary
The Manufacturing Process Planner Estimator works with minimal supervision and reports to a manager. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating related work processes for support and customer
organizations: planning sequences of operations that involve original innovations in setups, attachments, techniques, tools, producing plans, estimates, and scheduling for complex, non-routine parts, and items of equipment from raw stock of different metals, metal alloys, and other materials and utilizes independent interpretation and translation of workorders, drawings, and specifications based on manpower, material, and tools.

Manufacturing Process Planners have a thorough knowledge of advanced shop mathematics and machine; have skill in using geometric and trigonometric formulas to compute compound angles, angular indexing, hole patterns, pitch lead, and pitch diameters. The Planners will work with designers, engineers, and

prototypes: making independent interpretation and translation of work orders, drawings and specifications that may be lacking in such items as dimensions, tolerances and types of fit and finish. Additional assignments may include
performing labor in any of the processes involved in fabrication and assembly. This position requires the ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of and skill in reading/understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, sample parts, parts programs or other work specifications.
