Position: IT Service Desk Summer Intern

Shift: Mon-Thurs 7:30 - 5:30pm

Location: Aledo, TX

FLSA Designation: Full Time - Non-Exempt

The Tri-County Electric Cooperative IT Service Desk Intern is a summer internship program that will give current students an opportunity to gain real life skills and experience in a professional environment. We are looking for individuals who want to blaze their own career path and be a part of a growing organization.

Job Description Components of the Program:

• Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments
• Develop office and analytic skills needed for career
• Attend regular departmental meeting calls that cover a variety of concepts each week of the program
• Perform service desk tasks, including but not limited to:
  • iPad/PC refresh
  • Basic service desk tickets
• Submit an Organization Evaluation on the student's intern experience during the final week of the internship period
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduating high school student or current college student interested in IT, Computer Information Systems or Computer Science as a career path.
• Valid driver's license
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
• Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Available to work program dates
