SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Fire Engineer/Analyst to support Department of Defense (DoD) fire-related aircraft survivability programs. This position will focus on conducting research on aircraft fire initiation and self-sustained combustion resulting from hostile threats. Support will include conducting Test and Evaluation (T&E) to understand the influential variables for aircraft fire, as well as Modeling and Simulation (M&S) methodology development and software execution.
Work Location: Dayton, OH
Education: BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience with heat transfer, thermofluids, fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, or fire dynamics
- Experience with DoD modeling and simulation
- Demonstrated practical knowledge related to aircraft
- Strong communication and writing skills
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance. US citizenship required.
