*** QC Lead ***

in the ***NORCO/ CORONA AREA***

~ Must have experience working with Supplements Manufacturing/ Dietary supplements

- General knowledge of Production and Manufacturing operations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Basic knowledge of the physical facility and all facility equipment, MS Office products (Excel, Word, etc),
- Basic knowledge of QuickBooks, for receiving and inventory purposes
- Ability and willingness to work long hours and weekends
- Ability to accurately communicate ideas, instructions, questions, problems, and solutions
- Ability to accurately receive ideas, instructions, questions, problems, and solutions, in written and verbal form
- Ability to get along well with co-workers and management
- Ability to work as part of a group and as an individual with minimal supervision
- Ability to record data accurately
- Ability to implement inspection procedures and quality protocols
- Ability to stand, stoop, squat, bend over, reach, squeeze, push, pull/carry over 25 lbs
- Bilingual (Preferred)
- HACCP trained (Preferred)
- High school diploma or quality control technician experience equivalent

- Perform Pre-Operational and Operational Inspections
- Calibrate all equipment prior to use for the day
- Hourly label verification; lot numbers, expiration dates, etc.
- Get product samples, as needed for retention or lab samples
- Monitor all line workers to follow company LLC SOPs and cGMPs
- Monitor packing processes
- Receiving of all incoming materials; verify labels, reject any allergens, quarantine materials
- Input incoming materials in QuickBooks the day received
- Must stay in communication with the Production Supervisor to ensure conformances with specification defined for finished products
- Must stay in communication with the Machine Operator with regards to quality control issues
- Must stay in communication with all Line Workers with regards to quality control issues
- Must stay in communication with the Purchasing Supervisor with regards to rejecting incoming materials or any supplier related complaints
- Must stay in communication with the R&D department with regards to new and final recipes
- The Quality Control Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Department

The job requires considerable and sustained use of eyesight for functions such as visual inspection, reading, measuring, and data analysis.

Job involves, but is not limited to, the following conditions:
- Exposure to potentially hot working conditions in cooking room and dry room
- Exposure to potentially cold working conditions in RTE room and Palletizing Areas
- Exposure to noise from equipment during operation
- Exposure to pollutants which can adversely affect the skin and/or the respiratory system such as gases, smoke, odors, mists, fumes, dust, chemicals, oils or solvents
- Exposure to hazardous working conditions, including moving machinery
- The job requires the use of protective equipment: long sleeves, full length pants, gloves, smocks, beard guards, and shoe covers.
It is expected that the hours for this role will be set so there is some overlap with both the preceding and following shift.
