Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) is searching for a Systems Engineer to support Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Project Office located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Qualifications/Experience:
- BS Degree in a technical or engineering discipline and 10+ years systems engineering experience experience with an aviation platform
- Experience with systems engineering processes in support of system life cycle development.
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in the development of manned or unmanned aviation systems
- Experience in Army Airworthiness process and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Will work with program integrators, logisticians, and other engineering disciplines to apply the system engineering process to the respective programs.
- Review test plans, test reports, and analyses concerning compliance with specification and/or qualification requirements.
- Participate in program and design reviews and technical meetings.
- The Systems Engineer will be responsible for advocating for rigorous systems engineering management principles and advising assigned Product Office(s) or projects.
- Provide input to scopes of work (SOWs) to ensure appropriate systems engineering requirement management, technical reviews, and CDRLs are incorporated appropriately.
- Ensure system and subsystem requirements are traceable and verifiable.
