Who You Are

  • A detail-oriented and organized communications professional with experience working in a fast-paced press shop for a campaign, organization or high profile figure

  • A proven track record of gaining earned media on traditional and nontraditional platforms to reach different constituencies

  • An open-minded, creative leader with strong relationship building and communications skills

  • Previous experience managing staff and Georgia ties are a plus.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the trusted partner to the Communications Director by helping plan and implement the campaign's communication strategy

  • Help manage the communications team and ensure that team tasks are being properly managed and executed

  • Ensure that written materials such as briefings, talking points, press releases and more are thorough and timely

  • Help drive campaign messaging through earned media, rapid response and opposition research

  • Build and maintain relationships with reporters, producers, editors and more.

  • Assist the Communications Director in managing the communications calendar.


The salary for this position is $6,333 per month and takes into account the required skills and experience.
