As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities by assuring the following: relationships, community involvement and integration, power and choice, health and safety, and competence. You will help establish routines that meet all individuals' needs and desires and ensure compliance with licensing regulations, agency policies and practices, and individual rights protection. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-maintained home. You will be required to complete documentation daily, thoroughly, timely, accurately, and professionally; assist with information gathering to identify personal outcomes desired and the effect of supports. You will ensure that all home, vehicle, and personal property maintenance needs are address promptly. You may need to change your work schedule as necessary to meet individual and program needs.
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must be 18 years or older and have a valid TN, AR, or MS drivers' license. You must obtain an F endorsement within 30 days of hire. One year of experience providing direct support care or working with the developmental disabilities population preferred. You must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings, background checks, and drug screening.
