DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Recruiter Coordinator, the DSP PRN will work on an as needed basis. PRN staff will be called to fill shifts that are vacant due to open positions, vacationing staff, call-ins, medical leaves and hospital admittances. Will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities by assuring the following: relationships, community involvement and integration, power and choice, health and safety, and competence. Will provide assistance in establishing routines that meet all individuals' needs and desires and to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, agency policies and practices and protection of individual rights. Will assist and/or perform cleaning and home maintenance activities. Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate and professional; assist with information gathering to identify personal outcomes desired and effect of supports. Ensure that all home, vehicle, and personal property maintenance needs are address in a timely manner. Complete all required paperwork thoroughly, correctly and on a timely basis. Administer medication without error. (ICF excluded)
High School diploma or G.E.D. required. CNA is a plus. Must be 18 years or older and have a valid TN, AR, or MS drivers' license with a class or an endorsement to transport. One year of experience in the Direct Support care or working DD population preferred; must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings, background checks, and a drug screening. The more flexible your schedule is the more hours you will be offered.
