Description of Role

SRI Telecom is seeking an ISP Engineer with relevant broadband or telco experience to contribute to all areas of expertise with various cross functional project teams. You will assist deployment engineers as they address capacity on the cable broadband network. Using your strong Excel knowledge, you will download current milestone data from workflow tools and process the information to help you engineers know where they need to focus to keep the projects moving. You may even present your data and your dashboards to upper management.

Your technical inclination and your strong desire to establish process will help you excel in this role. You will quickly understand the flow of the project and how the teams interact to accomplish the work at hand. You create drawings of the inside plant to show rack elevations, a birds-eye view, locations, and wire pathways. You will track where equipment will be placed, what parts are needed, any space/power issues and if any critical infrastructure augments such as a DC or HVAC upgrades will be needed.

  • Work cross-functionally to track overall active tickets and status.
  • Conduct regular audits & reporting of network capacity.
  • Maintain Data Integrity across data bases using v-lookup and other comparison tools.
  • Perform general data mining to generate visual reports to key stakeholders.
  • Learn and develop an understanding of all systems, tools and processes (i.e. reporting, capacity and ticketing tools, etc.) that support workflow of projects. Suggest improvements.
  • Excellent data management skills are required.

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel. Utilize the tools to complete data analysis, visualization, and data manipulation.
  • Host cross functional project meetings to get weekly updates on node split projects.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be organized, detail oriented and personable.
  • Work related experience in accounting and/or finance background in addition to project or program management.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 8 am 5 pm in an office environment.

This position pays $40/hour+ on up, depending on experience.
