We are currently hiring a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) professional to work in our environmental due diligence program in our Knoxville, Tennessee office. S&ME's due diligence practice services a wide variety of clients consisting of municipalities, developers, attorneys, and financial institutions each requiring client centric, and sometimes creative solutions. The size, expected growth, and geographies serviced by S&ME creates a unique and exciting opportunity for the professional growth of the right candidate while working with some of the region's most experienced environmental professionals within the environmental due diligence/environmental consulting industry.


Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in environmental discipline;
  • 4 to 6 years of experience with Phase I ESA's, Transaction Screen's, and RSRAs. Phase II ESA experience a plus;
  • Ability to review, edit, and provide QA/QC for environmental due diligence reports;
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations, and interacting with regulatory agency representatives;
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of applicable ASTM standards (1527-13 & 1528-14);
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training required;
  • Experience with proposal preparation and business development preferred;
  • Candidates should have strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment;
  • Ability and interest in working with commercial lenders, developers, and legal clients.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
