We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time entry-level Geotechnical Staff Engineer (EIT) to join our team in Duluth, Georgia (Atlanta Area).
This is an ideal position for a recent college graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineer. Position responsibilities include coordinating drilling operations for specific projects and executing site observations. Position will also perform routine engineering computations based on established formulas, make preliminary selection of alternatives, recommendations, and adaptations of engineering alternatives on specific projects. Assigned tasks will be limited to routine projects not involving unusual or difficult problems or non-standardized techniques and procedures. Assignments may vary between service areas to provide exposure to a wide range of S&ME capabilities and services.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or ability to obtain within 6 months;
- Engineering Intern certification preferred;
- 0-2 years of professional experience;
- Basic working knowledge of construction plans and specifications;
- Basic business and technical writing skills;
- Experience with AutoCAD;
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn commercial software applications;
- Overnight, out-of-town travel and the ability to work outside normal business hours;
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions;
- Routine lifting: 40 to 50 lbs.
This is a full-time entry-level position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
