We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time, experienced Environmental Technician to join and support our environmental service team in our Columbia, South Carolina locations.
The successful candidate will perform predominantly field and limited office work associated with industrial hygiene and traditional environmental assessments. Field work will include: assessments for asbestos, lead paint, mold, and indoor air quality; personal and area monitoring for airborne contaminants; and, other testing and sampling may be required; installation of monitor wells; drilling of soil borings, identification of the soils encountered and determination of well construction; soil and groundwater sampling for chemical analysis. In addition, field work may be required during non-business hours, on weekends and holidays. Office tasks will include preparation of data tables; graphical presentation of data; comparison of data to regulatory standards; preparation of letter reports to present data; and, maintenance of equipment.

- High School diploma/GED required;
- SCDHEC Asbestos Air Monitor License required;
- SCDHEC Asbestos Inspector license preferred;
- OSHA 1910.120 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training preferred;
- Experience conducting environmental sampling projects;
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions;
- Ability and willingness to accommodate overnight and out-of-town assignments;
- Routine lifting required: 40 to 50 lbs.;
- Familiarity with GPS technology;
- Must be a self-starter, resourceful, with the ability to work independently on multiple projects with support and guidance of senior staff;
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and integrity;
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word and EXCEL.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience.
