A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
As a Production Technician, you assemble our customers' trucks with their customized components, following the job build instructions and reading/interpreting blueprints. "Assembly" may include changing power box, pumping station, wiring, updating ports/manways, attaching tanks to chassis, refurbishing of tanks, cabinets, decks, hose reels, bumpers, etc. Your mechanical knowledge, welding expertise and other various skills with heavy-duty/commercial trucks is a key part to your success. You will assist with keeping the shop clean and organized and participate with annual inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN / TRUCK UPFITTER
- Experience working on medium/heavy-duty or commercial vehicles
- Moderate experience with quality (MIG) welding
- Willing to obtain heavy-duty truck mechanic certification in drive train, brakes and braking systems, suspension and steering, and electrical systems
- Basic math skills
- Must have own tools
This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with some overtime (6 am - 4:30 pm) during our busiest time of the season, typically early fall to mid-winter.
