SGI Global is seeking Instructors for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Criminal Investigation (CI), to provide Use of Force courses at the IRS-CI National Criminal Investigation Training Academy (NCITA) in Glynco, Georgia

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

Responsibilities

  • Shall work with IRS-CI management during the preparation and delivery of the instruction and/or course writing services requested, administer training in a hands-on mat room setting and instruct in a classroom with facilities and material provided by IRS-CI's National Criminal Investigation Training Academy (NCITA).
  • Shall provide their knowledge and experience of working active investigations, to include Title 26 and tax cases.
  • Shall provide their strong understanding of the IRS-CI Use of Force program and tactics.
  • Shall provide answers to in-depth questions as posed by IRS-CI employees who they are instructing and provide the required training in accordance with the contract.
  • Shall provide the following support in the form of training techniques in order to administer the training program(s), train instructors, and/or to provide instruction and plan, organize and follow through in order to implement comprehensive programs to meet the overall training objectives:
    • Law Enforcement Techniques to ensure that course content and material presented remain in touch with the realities of the environment in which students will be working and to maintain credibility;
    • Research Tools & Techniques to include systematic and analytical processes used in solving problems, making decisions, assuring success of planned activities and evaluating results in order to perform course-related original research, amend or develop new course material and to determine need for new courses, programs and/or, methods of training.
    • Oral & Written Techniques to communicate effectively the subject matter being taught, to persuasively present facts and research results to a broad spectrum of individuals and to negotiate and coordinate with managers, various specialists and others to achieve results in the development, delivery and evaluation of the training.
  • Some training courses that involve advanced areas of law enforcement and investigation require the instructor(s) to continually assess and revise course content in light of changing conditions. This support shall include assistance with:
    • Determining the need for and generating surveys and studies to implement new training programs;
    • Analyzing information and writing comprehensive summaries and reports regarding the development of courses, the effectiveness of the NCITA programs in order to enable course development and instructor teams to function effectively.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least five years experience working active criminal tax investigations, with a strong understanding of the Use of Force programs and tactics.
  • Must have at least five years experience working active investigations, to include Title 26 criminal tax cases.
  • Must provide accurate, relevant responses to in-depth questions posed by IRS-CI employees who are enrolled in the training.
  • Must have experience instructing a classroom and/or distance learning setting such as Zoom, Centra with facilities and material provided by the IRS.
  • Ability to work with IRS-CI management and IRS-CI subject matter experts (SME's) during the preparation and delivery of the instruction.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule at an IRS designated location(s).
  • Ability to accommodate the number of classes requiring instruction at any given time. The number of classes requiring instruction depends on hiring.
  • Ability to provide relevant information, generate feedback and discussion and test the comprehension of new and experienced employees.
  • At least five years experience in administering a UOF training program to law enforcement in both a classroom and mat room setting.
  • Experience within the past two (2) years instructing a class, or in course development.
  • Must be in excellent physical/fitness condition and able to demonstrate/participate in IRS-CI defensive tactics and techniques.
  • Must have experience in the application of Use of Force.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers and applications such as, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and ability to operate equipment used for training such as Data Show, white board, etc.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
