SESLOC Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional with that special ability to perform the technical pieces of the job while focusing on fostering a high level of employee engagement. The successful candidate will use their creativity, energy and enthusiasm to ensure an outstanding employee experience through the creation, implementation and management of innovative people programs and work culture activities. You know, that right brain left brain thing!
A primary focus will be identifying and coordinating ongoing unique work culture activities across remote and onsite teams including different locations and functions that drive engagement and retention. We are looking for an idea generator to ensure a full calendar of culture enhancer events for our employees. There may be a few company sponsored community events sprinkled in too.
You will lead communication about those efforts and other SESLOC benefits and initiatives across a variety of channels including the employee intranet. Did we mention we have a giant chalkboard in HR where we like to doodle and create awe inspiring art for employees?
In this role you will also provide general HR and Administrative support to the department in a number of areas impacting the full employee lifecycle including:
- Assisting with full-cycle Recruitment for select positions
- Onboarding to ensure new employees feel connected and valued and have a successful and enriching start at SESLOC.
- Employee Engagement Programs
- Company events
- Internal networking activities that include our remote staff
- Company initiatives including Diversity and Inclusion, Financial Wellness, Internship programs, etc.
- Off boarding employees in a way that strengthens SESLOC's employer brand and provides insights into retention tactics. Activities will include:
- Assisting with related Administrative tasks
- Exit interviews
- Data tracking and recommendations for retention
And, of course because we all wear a lot of hats here in the HR department, you'll have the opportunity to support the full gamut of HR functions.
Ensure confidentiality, discretion, and compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations at all times. Interface with staff, management, and visitors to the credit union, ensuring professional, caring, and helpful service at all times.
Education and Experience:
A two year college or completion of specialized course of study at business or trade school or professional association and three to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Minimum of three to five years professional HR experience sufficient to demonstrate competency in recruitment and selection, and other HR programs. Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations and legislation. Project management and event planning experience preferred. Previous credit union or financial institution experience preferred. Ability to doodle on a chalkboard and flip burgers at BBQs is a plus!
Please be sure to upload a current Resume and a Cover Letter explaining a little about yourself and why you are the perfect fit for this job!
