Sayres is seeking an experienced Trial Card Analyst in Bath, ME with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in JPAS.


The Trial Card Analyst will support the PMS 400D Program primarily with the Discrepancy Management Process to include Database Management, Underway Shipboard Trials Support, Laptop Configuration/Networking, Metrics, and Data Quality and Configuration checks.

Position will include support from Bath, ME and also require travel throughout the year to multiple locations in support of onboard trial events.

  • Supporting the STIG/Accreditation requirements for trials laptops.
  • Tracking all GFE trials related material; supporting all underway trial events (requires travel).
  • Serving as a database administrator for ETC/TSM trial card software applications.
  • Providing detailed metrics analysis.
  • Additional duties as required.
  • As database administrator, will be providing trial card support utilizing TSM and ETC trial card applications.
  • Setup standalone laptop networks onboard ship for use by Government Inspection Team, providing administrative and IT support for the network and customers using the network and applications.
  • Execute large data transfer to and from the standalone network.
  • Process and analyze large quantities of data for the creation of summary metrics packages and various reports.
  • Serve as a liaison with onsite Sayres trial card support personnel and government customers who are in multiple locations.
  • Establish detailed records of all processes and build analytical tools in excel/access, as needed, to support efficient data analysis/evaluation.
  • As systems administrator (backup) will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of a small (<100 endpoint) population of Government-owned laptop assets in support of at-sea operations of a mobile Electronic Trial Cards (ETC) network.
  • Serve as a system administrator for the trials laptops, to include understanding of all software, system requirements and execution of all accreditation requirements and processes.
  • Will be required to perform work within the bounds of an applicable Authority to Operate (ATO) document and must be able to perform all technical functions on assigned assets from initial setup to end-user operation.

Minimum Skill Sets/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to get underway on a ship for at sea trial events, climbing ladders, and walking on steel decks
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret Clearance

Preferred Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree (no specified field).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of shipbuilding experience.
  • Technical and production deficiency management experience, including experience with ETC and TSM.
  • Experience with integration testing and trials, including deficiency management, corrective action tracking, and engineering change management processes
  • Knowledge of ship delivery processes, post-delivery work package development, and Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) planning and execution.
  • Microsoft Windows 7, 10, Server 2016 VM Management
  • Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.
  • Installation, setup, configuration, and maintenance of various hardware and software installations.
  • Network setup and configuration.
  • Active Secret Clearance verifiable in JPAS.
