PTi is seeking an experienced, achievement-oriented Sr. Business Development Manager to oversee business development activities while creating and building Government client relationships. A successful candidate will be a resolute, self-starter who can successfully find and promote our offerings and solutions; and win competitive government ventures.

Job Summary

The Sr. BD Manager actively seeks new business, oversees the Company's business development activities, and builds Government client relationships. This role is integral in developing and facilitating the proposal process, responding to RFPs/RFQs, sources sought, and other applicable notices. Proposals include, but are not limited to, technical requirements, past performance, pricing, and other applicable evaluation criteria as specified.

Essential Functions:

  • Leadership skills that promote maximum effort and results from the business development team
  • Identify areas of opportunities for the Company and report BD opportunities and status to Executive management
  • Lead and direct proposal activities, IAW RFPs/RFQs, Sources Sought
  • Act as Primary POC for Government bid opportunities
  • Oversee the business development team and processes
  • Develop potential and current client relationships by understanding the mission, strategy, and key issues of the client to best determine PTi offerings and solutions
  • Brief the president on the status of opportunities and bids
  • Collaborate with BD team regarding technical and past performance content for relevant bid insertion
  • Attend Site Visits and Industry Days, as related to targeted opportunities
  • Determine staffing solutions and pricing components for proposals
  • Coordinate and facilitate contract negotiations and client presentations, as necessary
  • Manage current IDIQ contracts and requirements as well as seek additional IDIQ opportunities
  • Collaborate with Executive Management for final pricing and staffing proposals
  • Participate in phase-in/transition activities in accordance with contract requirements and bid proposals
  • Support customer relations and attend contract meetings, as applicable
  • Participate in PTi sponsored events, including client, employee, and subcontractor relations
  • Lead team of technical experts to assist in bid development and work with Subject Matter Experts, consultants, and subcontractor teams
  • Act as POC for Government bid opportunities
  • Attend Site Visits and Industry Days, as related to targeted opportunities
  • Track and report on the status of all proposal components
  • Establish and maintain ongoing client relationships with various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems
  • Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
  • Supports PTi's QMS, Safety, Environmental, and Security Programs, and other Company certifications and initiatives
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, communications, business, or other related discipline
  • Minimum of seven (7) years related experience in business development and project management and government contracts
  • Must have experience supporting the development of at least 15 proposals within the DoD marketplace preferably in logistics
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Book of government/military contacts
  • Disciplined, organized, and articulate with excellent business acumen
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, and other proposal programs/tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance
  • 25% minimum travel expectation stateside and/or OCONUS
  • Military experience preferred
