The Quality Control Technician ensures that proper methods are being followed, finished products comply with specified requirements, and establishes evidence of proper manufacturing and quality of our concrete products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality of products and conformance to state standards/specs.
- Review product drawings for accuracy.
- Concrete testing for compliance.
- Point of contact between state inspector and plant personnel.
- Work with production to ensure processes are followed.
- Adhere to and endorse the company safety program by attending regularly scheduled meetings. Embrace safety culture where all employees feel comfortable communicating safety concerns and bring any issues to management.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
High school diploma or GED is required
Prior experience in the prestress/precast concrete industry is a plus.
Certified ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
Certified PCI Quality Control Personnel Technician Level I&II
Candidates that do not currently possess the ACI and PCI certifications, will be expected to begin ACI and/ or PCI certification process based on scheduling by QC Manager. Failure to begin this process or an inability to become certified will disqualify candidates from retaining this position.
This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday first shift, 40+ hours, overtime paid at 1.5x

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals which require employee to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/ or humid/ cold conditions, as well as high, precarious places.
Employee will utilize proper PPE as instructed by supervisor, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, reflective vests and steel toe boots. Additional PPE may be required.
