The PRC Group is seeking an Assistant to Property Manager. This position is located at the North Brunswick Senior Housing facility in North Brunswick, NJ.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to residents and visitors.
  • Welcome and direct residents and visitors.
  • Respond to inquiries; resolve issues and problems.
  • Develop and maintain an organized and efficient filing system.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance staff to follow up on work orders to ensure completion as per PRC's guidelines.
  • Assist Property Manager and governmental entities with residential needs.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Provide building tours for potential new residents.
  • Partner with Property Manager to oversee event planning (i.e., movies, holiday/social events).
  • Prepare onsite incident reports and document issues relating to resident behavior.
  • Review, update and maintain calendars and bulletin boards.
  • Handle coding for security system. Assist with building access control (keys, parking assignments, building access).
  • Assist with scheduling move-in/outs.
  • Handle leasing duties as assigned.
  • Assist with managing the North Brunswick Housing Rehabilitation Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma.
  • Two years of related housing management experience; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to work in a multitasking environment.


  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent math and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of real estate property management procedures.
  • Knowledge of Federal and New Jersey laws affecting multi-family dwellings.
  • Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere that ensures cooperation with customers, colleagues, tenants, and management.
  • Patience and discretion with senior population.
  • Knowledge of Tax Credit Code 42 or willingness to learn/complete exam.
  • Knowledge of Yardi; preferred.
