Pioneer is currently looking for a professional engineer in the category of Senior Engineer (P3)/ Project Manager (P4) in its Kellogg, ID location. Our Kellogg office is looking for a dedicated and hardworking engineer to join our team that will assist our clients and expand our abilities.
Pioneer is a 100% employee-owned ESOP that was founded on the belief that the employees should manage their own future. The position responsibilities encompass all aspects of environmental remediation, from remedial design through operation and maintenance at sites. Our team uses environmental data collected at each site to design prescriptive remedial actions at each site. Our projects typically revolve around legacy mine site remediation in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions. This employee will be required to interact with clients, manage remediation projects, including remedial design alternatives analyses, design reports, construction drawings, and technical specification development. Applicants should have a working knowledge of CERCLA processes and be willing to learn and work within Superfund Sites.
Depending on the labor category of the individual hired, this position will assist the Project team in the management and execution of major projects. The Engineer will provide guidance to Project and Staff Engineers as required to implement the projects. The Engineer must possess technical ability necessary to direct and oversee major aspects of individual projects and ensures project(s) meet professional and corporate standards. The position is responsible for the overall quality of project(s), client service and promote corporate design and quality standards. The Engineer shall provide communication and coordination of project personnel and manage projects to completion via resources assigned to the project. This position manages staff and project level engineers assigned to their specific projects and provides guidance such that project goals, schedules and budgets are maintained.
Minimally, the position requires that you have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited 4-year college and currently hold a Professional Engineers license in the State of Idaho and a valid Drivers license.
Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree in civil or environmental engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Professional Engineer or equivalent accreditation required at time of hire or within 3 months.
Skills: In depth knowledge of traditional engineering standards and corporate quality requirements and a demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary professionals is necessary. Expertise in engineering disciplines, design standards, quality control and the ability to work as part of a team is imperative. Must be proficient in using technology and computers relevant to the profession. This includes Microsoft Office 365 products and AutoCad Civil 3D.
